Geography & Global Perspectives

I am overjoyed to be joining Network International School, and teaching geography and global perspectives. This will be my eighteenth-year teaching, and I have worked both in the Bristol area of the UK and at Doha College in Qatar. I have had the opportunity to travel extensively and I feel that this is a vital component in bringing the subject of geography alive to the students. I love teaching and I believe that education should be a fulfilling and rewarding experience, and I make sure that my classroom is a stimulating environment within which every pupil is inspired to succeed and enjoy learning. I am greatly looking forward to living in Myanmar and working at Network International School. My wife and 9 year old son will be joining me in Yangon and they are also very much looking forward to living in your beautiful country. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy watching football matches and I hope to adopt one of the local teams to support. I also aim to take the opportunity to travel around Myanmar and I am currently trying to learn Burmese ( albeit very slowly).
