Simonetta Castilla

Foundation 3 Discoverers

My name is Simonetta Castilla and I was born in England. For my undergraduate degree I studied BSc Sociology at the University of Portsmouth, where I then went to the University of Winchester to complete my PGCE training where I specialised in the Early Years Foundation Stage. My passion lies in the Early Years as I believe it is an extremely important time in children’s education, which will shape the rest of their learning journey throughout their time at school. I believe that all children’s individual interests should be pursued and encouraged in a safe and supportive environment. I am a strong advocate for learning outdoors and providing children with a range of opportunities to experience the wider world. As I am extremely passionate about the environment I aim to encourage an eco- friendly classroom where all children can learn about how to care and preserve the world we live in. I am a passionate traveller and I have been extremely fortunate to travel around Europe and South East Asia. I am extremely excited to start my teaching career at the Network International School in Myanmar.
