Foundation 2 Butterflies

I am a teacher from England, London and this will be my fourth year teaching. I have a BA degree in English Literature and studied for my PGCE at Goldsmiths University where I specialised in Early Years Foundation Stage. I am very passionate about teaching in the Foundation Stage and always feel honoured to work with teams who are the first to harbour children’s love of learning through play and witness the huge developmental breakthroughs that happen at a young age. I enjoyed teaching Foundation Stage 2 in a primary school in Greenwich, London. After this, I split my time teaching in a wide range of schools and year groups in London and volunteer teaching in Huancayo, Peru. I also volunteered for a short while in Masindi, Uganda where I was part of a training program for local Foundation Stage teachers. These opportunities have allowed me to share my passion for Foundation Stage education while also improving my own teaching practice. As a successful foundation stage teacher my main aim is to identify and enhance all children’s interests and abilities in a safe and enabling environment. Overall, I wish for all children I teach to gain a thirst for knowledge and become lifelong learners.
