Elizabeth Lee

Year 2 Lotus

I have been teaching in England for the last two years with experience across KS2.   Prior to this I worked as a primary teacher in Lyon, France, at Ombrosa Bilingual school and completed my NQT year as a Year 3/4 teacher in High Barnet, London. Before completing my PGCE in Primary education with modern foreign languages in 2008 at Goldsmiths College, University of London, and TESOLCert at St Giles College, I achieved my BA Hons in French and Spanish at the University of Sheffield, Université de Bordeaux and Universidad de Chile, Santiago. Born and raised in London by my Mauritian parents, my personal experiences have always inspired me to develop a deep passion for different cultures, languages and bilingualism.  I have been fortunate to do volunteer work as a teacher and conservation worker in Vietnam, Laos, and Australia, which fuelled my ambition and dream to fulfil my vocation as a fully qualified teacher. It is my firm belief that education is the gateway to a world of opportunities, to changing our perceptions of the world and to creating a more sustainable environment. I feel proud to be given the opportunity to play a part in empowering children with the tools to become responsible, global and emphatic citizens of the future. I am particularly thrilled about all the learning that will be taking place at the heart of my experience at Network International School.  I am excited to begin this new adventure this August in such a beautiful city as Yangon and look forward to embracing the Myanmar way of life.
