Year 5 Iguanas

I am really looking forward to getting started at Network International School and begin life in Yangon. I have a great love of teaching and working with children of all ages and abilities. I initially completed my degree in Sports Science at Northumbria University then moved home and began teaching children and young adults from 9 to 24 years of age at Prior Pursglove College. I was responsible for teaching a range of subjects to learners with a variety of special educational needs over the space of 4 years. Alongside this I also taught PE in primary schools across my local school district. This job generated a passion in me for teaching and working with primary aged children. I eventually left my roles and began teaching full time in a special educational needs primary school, where I have been teaching for the last two years. This job has involved me working with a mix of children on the autistic spectrum, as well as those with behavioural issues. Over the years, I have been responsible for teaching children with a very diverse range of abilities and learning preferences, which I have been able to adapt and work with in order to help each child excel. I have thoroughly enjoyed the experience I have gained and I have found it the right time in my life to test myself in a new and enthralling environment, as well as work with international children who I aim to help reach their maximum potential.
