Primary Water Festival 2017
A new letter is now available to read.
In honour of the Thingyan Water Festival, we will have a special celebration for Years 1 to 6 at 09:00 on Monday 20, Tuesday 21 & Wednesday 22 March at our Bahan Campus. The students will perform the Myanmar Dances they have been learning and the show will last for approximately an hour. Parents are invited to come and watch the performances on the day that your child’s class is performing.

In addition to this, on Friday 24 March we will have a shared snack followed by our own Water Festival celebrations.
Myanmar Dance:
Each year group will be performing a different dance and we ask that students wear certain clothes. Please see below details of what your child needs to wear:
Year 1 |
Boys - each student should wear a white shirt with black trousers Girls – the whole costume will be provided by the school |
Year 2 |
The whole costume will be provided by the school for both girls and boys |
Year 3 |
Boys - each student should wear a white shirt with dark blue or black trousers. The school will provide a shawl Girls – each student should wear a white shirt. Longyi and shawl will be provided by the school |
Year 4 |
Girls – the whole costume will be provided by the school Boys should wear a white top and the longyi will be provided by the school |
Year 5 |
Children should wear a plain white T-shirt & black trousers or skirt |
Year 6 |
Children should wear a plain black T-Shirt and the Longyi will be provided by the school |
These events will take place on the green area outside of the Primary building. We will have a staged area set up for the students so parents are very welcome to attend on the morning of their child’s dance performance and are welcome to bring along a blanket to sit on.
