Parent testimonial - Yamin's story

Yamin's son, Kaung, a Network Sixth Former, started his journey at Network when he was just two years old in Foundation 1. His sister, Han Yin, an old Networkian, is now in her first year of medical school. Their mother, Yamin, told us her story as a Network parent!

My name is Yamin, and my child, Kaung, has been attending Network International School since Foundation 1 when he was only 2 years old. My daughter, Han Yin, was also in Network from Year 4 to Year 11, and is now in her first year in Medical School at The Australian National University in Canberra. My son is currently attending Year 12 with a scholarship in the school’s Sixth Form after achieving 9A*s in his IGCSEs, making it now his 14th year in Network. I wanted to share our experience of the school and hopefully provide other parents some insight too. 

 

Since joining the school, my son developed necessary learning and thinking skills, which have helped him achieve his academic goals. Through the various events throughout his school life, he has also been able to become a leader in his own right. The school also ensures that their students gain a sense of the importance of taking responsibility for themselves, which I believe is the most important skill of all. Only then would students be able to maintain their studies and such on their own. 

 

On top of the skills learnt from the school, Network most stands out when it comes to the social aspects. For instance, my son has known the majority of his current year group for years now, allowing him to create close bonds and friendships with them all. The school’s many events, such as camp and the school play, further allows students to bond with others, even with those in different year groups. This social environment of the school allows everyone to participate in events and competitions without fear, especially since the school reinforces well how people are expected to treat each other.  

 

Another thing that I have gratitude for was how fluently my children were able to speak English because of attending Network. As a result of this, their options are broadened in terms of where they want to go in the future, as they would have the ability to communicate well with their peers.  

 

All in all, I am very grateful in my children having been long-time students at Network. Not only the skills they learnt, but the overall experience of it, I’m sure, will help them greatly in life. I believe that in attending this school, students are able to find a second home in the environment around it. Therefore, I wholly recommend the school to any parents or guardians looking for a place for their children’s education, as I’m sure the decision will prove to be a good one in the end.

ကျွန်မကတော့ ယမင်းပါ။ ကျွန်မသားလေး ကောင်းကို အသက်(၂)နှစ် Foundation 1 ကတည်းက Network International School မှာ စထားခဲ့ပါတယ်။ သမီးလေးဖြစ်တဲ့ ဟန်ရင်လည်း Year 4 မှ Year 11 နှစ်အထိ Network မှာ ပညာသင်ယူခဲ့ပြီး အခုဆိုရင် ကန်ဘာရာရှိ The Australian National University မှာ ဆေးတက္ကသိုလ် ပထမနှစ်တက်ရောက်လျက်ရှိပါတယ်။ လက်ရှိမှာတော့ သားက IGCSE ကို A* (၉)ခုနဲ့ထူးချွန်စွာအောင်မြင်ခဲ့ပြီးတော့ Sixth Form အဆင့်အတွက် ပညာသင်ဆုရရှိပြီး Year 12 ကိုတက်ရောက်နေပြီဖြစ်လို့ အခုနှစ်ဟာ Network မှာ (၁၄)နှစ်မြောက်ရှိပါပြီ။ ကျွန်မအနေနဲ့ ကျောင်းမှာရရှိခဲ့တဲ့ ကိုယ်ပိုင်အတွေ့အကြုံတွေကိုပြန်ပြောပြရင်း တခြားမိဘတွေအတွက်လည်း အသုံးဝင်မယ့်အကြောင်းအရာတွေကိုပါမျှဝေပေးနိုင်မယ်လို့မျှော်လင့်မိပါတယ်။ 

  

ကျောင်းစတက်စဉ်ကတည်းက သားအနေနဲ့ အခုလိုပညာရေးပန်းတိုင်တွေကိုအောင်မြင်စွာရောက်ရှိနိုင်ဖို့ လိုအပ်တဲ့ သင်ယူမှု၊ စဉ်းစားတွေးခေါ်မှု စွမ်းရည်တွေ တိုးတက်ဖွံ့ဖြိုးလာခဲ့ပါတယ်။ ကျောင်းနေဘဝတလျှောက်လုံးမှာ အမျိုးမျိုးပါဝင်လုပ်ဆောင်နိုင်မှုကြောင့်လည်း သားအနေနဲ့ သူကိုယ်တိုင်လည်း ခေါင်းဆောင်နိုင်တဲ့အရည်အချင်းမျိုးရရှိလာခဲ့ပါတယ်။ ကျွန်မအတွက်တော့ အရေးအကြီးဆုံးစွမ်းရည်တစ်ခုဖြစ်တဲ့ တာဝန်ယူတာဝန်ခံတတ်စိတ်ရဲ့အရေးပါပုံကိုလည်း ကျောင်းသူကျောင်းသားများဘက်က နားလည်လာစေဖို့ ကျောင်းကအများကြီးတာဝန်ယူသင်ကြားပေးခဲ့ပါတယ်။ ဒါမှပဲ ကျောင်းသားကျောင်းသူတွေဘက်က သူတို့ရဲ့သင်ယူမှုကိစ္စအရပ်ရပ်ကို ကိုယ်တိုင်တာဝန်ယူနိုင်မှာပဲဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ 

  

ကျောင်းကနေ သင်ယူခဲ့ရတဲ့ စွမ်းရည်များထဲမှာ လူမှုရေးနယ်ပယ်နဲ့ ပတ်သက်လာရင် Network က ထိပ်ဆုံးပါပဲ။ ဥပမာပြောရရင် သားလေးက အခုအတန်းက အတန်းဖော်အများစုကို နှစ်တွေအကြာကြီးသိလာရင်းနီးလာတာဖြစ်တဲ့အတွက် သူငယ်ချင်းသံယောဇဉ်ကပိုခိုင်မာပြီး လူတိုင်းနဲ့ရင်းနီးစေပါတယ်။ Camp နဲ့ ကျောင်းပြဇာတ်စသဖြင့် ကျောင်းကကျင်းပတဲ့ပွဲအစီအစဉ်များကလည်း ကျောင်းသားကျောင်းသူများကို အတန်းစုံ နှစ်စုံက သူငယ်ချင်းအသစ်တွေရစေပါတယ်။ Network က ကလေးတွေကို ငယ်ကတည်းက တစ်ယောက်ပေါ်တစ်ယောက် ဘယ်လိုဆက်ဆံသင့်သလဲဆိုတာကို ကောင်းစွာသင်ကြားပေးတဲ့အတွက် ကလေးတွေဟာလည်း လုံးဝကြောက်ရွံ့ခြင်းမရှိဘဲ ကျောင်းကကျင်းပတဲ့ ပွဲနဲ့ပြိုင်ပွဲအစီအစဉ်တွေမှာ ဝင်ရောက်ယှဉ်ပြိုင်နိုင်ကြတဲ့ လူမှုဝန်းကျင်တစ်ခုလို့ဆိုရပါတယ်။  

  

ကျွန်မ ကျေးဇူးတင်မိတာတစ်ခုက ကျွန်မကလေးတွေဟာ Network မှာတက်ရောက်ပြီး အင်္ဂလိပ်စကားကို ကျွမ်းကျင်စွာ ပြောနိုင်ခဲ့တာပါပဲ။ ဒါ့ကြောင့် သူတို့လေးတွေက ရွယ်တူချင်းတွေနဲ့ ကောင်းမွန်စွာပြောဆိုဆက်သွယ်နိုင်စွမ်း ရှိတာကြောင့် အနာဂတ်မှာ ဘယ်ကိုဆက်သွားချင်လဲ၊ ဘာတွေကိုဆက်လေ့လာချင်လဲဆိုတဲ့အပေါ်မှာ ရွေးချယ်စရာတွေပိုပြီးကျယ်ပြန့်များပြားလာခဲ့ပါပြီ။  

  

အချုပ်ပြောရရင် သားနဲ့သမီးနှစ်ယောက်လုံး Network မှာ သက်တမ်းရှည်ကြာစွာတက်ရောက်နိုင်ခဲ့တဲ့အတွက် ကျေးဇူးတင်ရှိမိပါတယ်။ သူတို့သင်ယူလေ့ကျင့်ခဲ့တဲ့စွမ်းရည်များသာမက ကျောင်းနေဘဝတစ်ခုလုံးမှာရရှိခဲ့တဲ့အတွေ့အကြုံများက သူတို့ဘဝကို များစွာအထောက်အကူပြုစေမှာအမှန်ပါပဲ။ ဒီကျောင်းမှာတက်ရောက်ကြတဲ့ ကျောင်းသားကျောင်းသူများအနေနဲ့ ကျောင်းအသိုက်အဝန်းအတွင်း ဒုတိယနေအိမ်လိုခံစားမှုမျိုးရရှိနိုင်မယ်လို့ ယုံကြည်မိပါတယ်။ ဒါ့ကြောင့် သားသမီးရဲ့ပညာရေးအတွက် နေရာကောင်းတစ်ခုကိုရှာဖွေနေကြတဲ့ မိဘတိုင်း၊ အုပ်ထိန်းသူတိုင်းအတွက် ဆုံးဖြတ်ချက်မှန်ကန်စေဖို့ Network ကို ရွေးချယ်ဖို့အကြံပြုလိုက်ရပါတယ်။
