Founder’s Day: 30 Years of Network

Founder’s Day: 30 Years of Network

In February this year, we celebrated 30 years of Network and marked our first Founder’s Day.

For many years, Tr. Carole’s birthday in February has been part of school life - with students singing, giving cards and coming together to celebrate. This year, we built on that tradition, recognising it as a moment to reflect on how far the school has come since 1996.

Across our campuses, the day was marked in the way Network does best - students singing in courtyards, handmade cards being shared, and a strong sense of community throughout.

At Bahan, Tr. Carole also cut the ribbon to officially open the new U Kyaing Lounge. Named after her husband and Network’s co-founder, the space is a meaningful addition for parents - a place to connect, share and feel part of the school.

In the evening, the wider community came together at Novotel Yangon Max. With performances, speeches, and plenty of familiar faces - from alumni to former teachers - it was a chance to celebrate everything Network has grown into over the past 30 years.

Aamir, one of the evening’s speakers, was a student here in the late 1990s and is now back as a parent, with his son in Early Years - a lovely reminder of the lasting connections within the Network community.

Building on Excellence: Extending Literacy Success into Secondary

At Network Secondary, we believe that a strong foundation in literacy is a journey, not a destination. While many of our families are already familiar with the exceptional results of the Accelerated Reader (AR) programme within our Primary phase, we are proud to demonstrate how we are building upon those firm foundations to ensure our Secondary students continue to excel as they head towards their IGCSEs.

Cultivating Excellence: Implementing High Performance Learning at Network Secondary

At Network International School, our vision is to foster academic curiosity in our students, enabling them to achieve highly and become independent, engaged, and responsible members of society. To truly live this mission, our Secondary School is embracing the High Performance Learning (HPL) framework, a research-based educational philosophy that aligns perfectly with our commitment to providing a holistic education that empowers every student to reach their full potential.

Why a Broad Curriculum is Best for Your Child

At Network International School, we are deeply committed to providing an education that not only meets but exceeds global standards, ensuring every student is fully prepared for university and successful careers. Our broad curriculum and the expectation that students complete a broad academic profile for IGCSEs are not just school policies, they are key strategic advantages designed to unlock your child's full potential.
