2019 IGCSE, AS & Key Stage 2 SATs Results

Congratulations to our Year 6, 11 & 12 students on achieving another set of outstanding examination results.  Students, teachers, parents and the whole Network community can be very proud of this academic success which is the result of hard work, dedication and our triangular partnership.

The headlines are as follows:

IGCSE Results

  • 41% of all grades were A*/B
  • 72% of all grades were A*/B
  • 35% of students achieved 5+ A*/A
  • 93% of students achieved 5+ A*-C

Student progress from Year 6 to Year 11.

  • 5 Levels of progress (exceptional progress)  – 35% of all grades compared to 10% in the UK
  • 4 Levels of progress (outstanding progress) – 70% of all grades compared to 30% in the UK
  • 3 Levels of progress (expected progress)  – 89% of all grades compared to 70% in the UK

In the Cambridge ICE Certificate awarded to student’s achievement in a minimum of seven subjects from five different groups to denote studying a broad curriculum.

  • 43% of students gained a Distinction – 5+ subjects at A*/A
  • 57% of students gained a Merit – 5+ subjects at A*-C

In addition, students made exceptional progress in all the core subjects of English, Maths & Science vital for University applications.

AS Level Results

  • 25% of all grades were A
  • 48% of all grades were A/B
  • 66% of all grades were A-C

These students will be our first cohort transferring directly from Network to Universities across the world and they are busy researching and making applications. We already have Network students who achieved outstanding IGCSE results with us studying at San Diego University (USA) Boston University (USA) Edinburgh University (UK) and Oregon State University (USA).

The IGCSE and A Level results achieved in 2019 would achieve an ‘outstanding’ (highest level) inspection grade in the UK.

Year 6 SATs

As in previous years our Year 6 students performed at an outstanding level and higher than the UK average on all aspects of the Key Stage 2 SATs.

UK National

The performance in Maths was exceptional and 15% higher than in the UK.  In addition, the combined achievement for achieving expected progress in reading, writing and Maths was an outstanding result.

As with the secondary phase the results achieved in 2019 would achieve an ‘outstanding’ inspection grade in the UK.

Once again, I congratulate the whole Network community on these achievements.
