Curriculum

Key Stage 3 (Years 7, 8 & 9)

In Key Stage 3, students are taught to play basketball, football, volleyball, table tennis, athletics, badminton and swimming throughout the year, focusing on one or two sports per term. In lessons, students initially work to develop the skills used in the sport, then they learn the rules of the game, both of which they can apply when playing the games in lessons towards the end of the term. Fair play, following rules and good sportsmanship are encouraged. Physical Education lessons also help to promote regular physical activity as part of a healthy lifestyle.

Key Stage 4 (Years 10 & 11)

All students at Network School study the iGCSE Cambridge Physical Education program.   These students study the theoretical aspects of Physical Education throughout the two years, as well as getting assessed on four practical sports that the students can select.

Moreover, Network is part of a series of friendly inter-school competitions in a variety of sports with other international schools in Yangon. This encourages good relationships with other local schools, supports student interaction with peers in different schools, and involves students in sport at a competitive level.

Long Term Plans

The long term plans set out the programmes of study for the whole academic year and enables parents to see the topics being studied term by term.
